WEEK THREE!!

How are you feeling? Hopefully, you're feeling more confident in the preparation process and ready for those Fall Family Photos! If not, that's ok! That's why this is a five week preparation process! Every angle covered to help you feel more prepared and confident for your photos! Week three is all about finding the right fit for you!

Let me start off by saying that this section of our Fall Family Prep is designed to help you ladies determine your body type and find the clothes that most flatter that shape. There are NO right or wrong answers! Each body type has clothing designed to help you look your best! However, these are merely suggestions and the most important thing about your Fall Family Photos are that you are comfortable and feeling FAB-U-LOUS!

I am like most of you, especially in the quarantine world, the more elastic the better. The idea of actually having to put on a structured piece of clothing, shaving, doing hair, putting on make up, please don't even mention the Spanx! The WHOLE process is just daunting! Shopping isn't always tons of fun either. However, when you know what you're looking for the process becomes so much easier!

I personally know that wrap dresses aren't for me, but I love a good empire dress! I have learned what does and doesn't work for me! How? By learning my body type! Again, how? Simple, get out that ol measuring tape and measure you bust, waist, and hips! Those numbers will help determine which of the four main body types you are!

The Apple: Women with an apple body type usually have a wider top half and a slimmer lower half. V neck dresses and shirts help draw attention to your neckline and a flared pant creates a balance between top and bottom!

The Pear: The pear is the exact opposite of the apple. Rather than a wider top half, the hips and thighs are wider than the shoulder area. When looking for clothing, balance is key! Shirts that show off your shoulders and a straight leg help balance top and bottom.

The Rectangle: With the rectangle, the waist measurement and the bust measurement are relatively similar to each other. To help create curves, use a belt to "pinch" the waist in. A peplum or an A-line skirt/dress can also be flattering.

The Hourglass: An hourglass shape has a smaller waist measurement and a larger bust/hip measurement. Show off that waist! Belts, V-necks, and more tailored pieces do just that!

Whether you measured to be an apple, pear, rectangle or hourglass it is important to note that again, these are just suggestions! No one, especially me, can tell you what you feel comfortable in! However, I will be the first one to tell you that I can tell when you aren't comfortable. And if I can tell, everyone who will see these Fall Family Photos will be able to tell as well!

So if it's jeans and a sweater, that A-line dress, or layering your slip dress with a jacket, you already know what gives you all the confidence you need! I'm just here to nudge ya to it!

Friends, we know where are the pictures are going to be displayed, what color we will be wearing in them and even what we will be wearing! It's official, the hard part is done!! The next two weeks are the easy part! Remember, our goal is make sure that the only question left is "What's for dinner?!"
