She's My Mom

I can't tell you the number of times she has wiped my tears away or the amount of times she has listened to me weep uncontrollably.

I can't tell you the number of times she has helped me with a project that I didn't have enough time for or the numerous occasions that she has listened as I try to work out a problem.

I can't tell you the number of times she has pushed me to be brave or taught me to be empathetic.

I can't tell you the number of times she has put my sister and I before herself or gone out of her way to surprise us with something.

I can't tell you the number of times because, well, it's all the time.

She is my mom. She is my confidant. She is my friend. She is my rock. She is by far one of the most inspirational people I know.

She is kind. She is caring. She is determined. She is my mom.

I know today is a day of celebration for most, but for many it is also tough. For those that have lost their mom, haven't had the opportunity to become a mom, or have suffered the loss of a child, today I am saying extra prayers of peace and mercy for you. You are still loved, you are still strong, and you are not alone.

Happy Sunday, friends.
